Solar Flare

Another Flare remix. I will use more words this time than I did with Glubstep.

This is my second attempt at “electronic” music (synths, heavy “wubby” bass, etc), Glubstep was my first. I dunno, is this dubstep? Whatever who cares it’s music. It’s definitely heavily based on Plazmataz’s Flare (THIS TRACK RIGHT HERE) from Homestuck Vol. 8, which also features the alternate ending found in [S] Cascade.

I will link the other mixes I have done, at some point in the future. For now, have this. It’s not perfect, but damned if I’m not proud of how it turned out.

Cloud Factory: Misty Valley

A sister piece to my earlier Cloud Factory track. This is another soundtrack piece to help flesh out the setting! They valley itself is full of life and energy. What can you tell about the setting from this track?

Lexxy hasn’t actually named the valley that Cloud Factory takes place in yet, haha.

Read more about Cloud Factory, the upcoming comic by Alexandra Douglass here!

My good chum Jason had shown me this video today and I can’t get enough of it, looks like I’ll need assistance to quit this.

Who am I kidding, never want to quit this.

eidolonorpheus:

A three movement piece based on Rose Lalonde’s character developments from normal to grimdark to god tier.  It’s about 10 minutes all together.   Also, the last of the Seer pieces.  The first two movements were from early 2011, but the last movement was added after Cascade.

Individual parts are available for download here

Volume 9 !!
Sweet Jesus those tracks. You could ricochet a quarter off those tracks and kill a man where he stands…
If anyone’s curious as to why there’s a bit more chiptune-ness and callbacks to early HStuck, the original idea was this was going to be along the lines of a sort of “Alternate/Scratched” version of Volume 1 (Hence various Alpha kid strifes, Another Jungle, Showtime showing up again etc.) - This eventually grew a bit and since the plot was deviating heavily from Act 1 (And making such references kinda awkward) it evolved into Volume 9.
STUFF THAT DON’T MAKE IT (Which I’ll discuss/release in further detail another time)
- Flight of the White Wolf
The start of this is the only bit that I fully liked, as for the rest? If you want a sexy Dissension orchestral arrangement I’ll direct your ears to the loveliness that is A Taste for Adventure
- March of the Drones
Too repetitive and didn’t really go anywhere… Though part of me’s interested in doing something with Zillyhoo.
- Royal Rumble (and all the other aborted Dave v Karkat things)
Meh.
- Mother
A Sburb Alpha ‘Rose’ track, and a kind of equivalent to the new session’s “Harlequin” - Aborted when it became apparent neither of these are relevant to the story. :p
- Other
Well we’ll see…
Watch this space for some commentary on Encore, Anbroids ‘n Pumpkin Party in Sea Hitler’s Water Apocalypse (Honestly? Want a good title? Just lift it from the dialog - S’where At The Price Of Oblivion came from…)

This tune is called Mischief, and it is a piece written for piano and string ensemble! It was a joy writing this, I got to feel out a fresh direction I’ve never explored before.

The song was written for Lunise, and inspired by her original characters. She is also the artist behind the gorgeous minimalist track artwork!

Yeah this is the reason why I always show new people to Homestuck Plaz music first.
